In order to experience something new, we need to become familiar with the thoughts and feelings in our minds and guide them to be consistent with the life we want to live. When we shift our thoughts and self-talk, our approach to life changes. Everything and everyone around us will be touched by that shift, and we will have the opportunity for a new experience as a result.

I create routines that support my relationships and my values.
I intentionally invest my time and energy in ways that bring support to the experience I want to have. I am aware of my hopes and goals and realize each action I take either moves me toward or away from my desires. I realize there is little distinction between the process of life and the results of life.
For example, if I maintain a dedicated workout routine, I become physically in shape. If I am consistently available and responsive in my primary relationship, the potential of the relationship emerges. In both cases, I realize that if I unconsciously replaced these positive efforts with apathy, there would be a consequence. I either consciously create my experience or unconsciously find myself in my circumstances.
Tip: Evaluating how you are investing your time and energy is important no matter what the goal. Your time and attention are limited resources and what you do with them is reflected in the outcomes you are experiencing.
Consider utilizing your daily routine to meet your goals. For example, the simple daily predictable activity of warmly greeting your partner or children each time you see them has the potential to change the mood of your household.
Other simple daily tweaks can change everything. Identify, a desire and ask yourself what small action can I take every day to move in the right direction?
