Today I celebrate all those I have selected to be in my life and those who have selected me.

Non-blood relationships have the special element of choice. I consider it an extraordinary gift that some people have chosen to be in my life out of a genuine appreciation for who I am. Today, I will let it sink in that I am loved and valued.

Today, I also remember and reflect on the qualities I value most about the people with whom I have surrounded myself. I celebrate those I have selected to be in my life and those who have selected me.

Tip: This Valentine’s Day let your words spread love and appreciation. Take the time to name out loud a quality you appreciate in each person you encounter today:

You are creative. You are helpful. You are caring.

You are fun. You are generous.

You are sensitive. You are kind. You are thoughtful.
