Your thoughts are the guiding force of your behaviors. An affirmation is a thought intended to replace another thought—namely, a habitual thought which has caused us to repeat unhappy patterns.
We are drawn to the familiar. In order to experience something new, we need to become familiar with the thoughts and feelings in our own minds and guide them to be consistent with the life of our dreams.
Use these weekly Affirmations and Tips to enhance your relationships in 2019. Happy New Year and Happy New Thought!
I chose to Love. Love radiates out from me in all my relationships.
Love is not what I do to show approval or an appraisal of another’s worth. Love is what I am and what I bring to my relationships. Love is not a feeling I wait to have. Love is the way I choose to be moment by moment. As I love, I experience the best of myself and the best of those I am with. I am creating an atmosphere of patience, kindness, and recognition of the inherent worth in all people.
I use my eyes, my words, my touch, or a simple smile to convey Love. Today I focus on internally saying “I love you,” even in the stressful moments, and come to recognize that fluctuations of stress do not need to disrupt the truth of Love that is the foundation of my relationships.
Tip: Make sure your daily routine includes overtly affirming the love you have for your significant others. Additionally, experiment with internally affirming the love you have for others and notice the impact it has on your interactions with them.
