Begin to make the shifts that lead to the close, connected relationships you long to experience. Work with the theme and affirmation below. Take time to experience the word and take in the affirmation. Living from these concepts is not always easy. The words and affirmations are designed to help you become more aware and intentional in your relationships.
I attune my mind to what is right with the world and right with others.
I consciously choose to see the best in those around me and radiate appreciation for their strengths and qualities. I allow myself to fully experience the pleasant aspects of our interactions. I seek to generate elevated emotions in my life by bringing focus to my positive experiences. Through words of appreciation, I orientate others and myself in the direction of what works and create more happiness. This generates incentive for those in my life and myself to move in a constructive and optimistic way. I remember that in the past, complaining has resulted in discouragement and defensiveness, and therefore, I choose to use the power of gratitude to now create connection and positive momentum.
Tip: Practice being vigilant of your thoughts and conscious about what you communicate. Before communicating, consider if you are making a negative assumption. Raising your thoughts to this question allows you to open to positive possibilities. From a place of gratitude for being in relationship, we can communicate from an open position and seek to understand the other’s thoughts, intentions, and hopes. We can direct our minds toward what we love about the other person or the situation. Each situation is different, but no matter what, we can communicate with others from a place of thankfulness for the relationship.
