We are drawn to the familiar. To experience something new, we need to become familiar with the thoughts and feelings in our minds and guide them to be consistent with the life of our dreams.

Our thoughts are the guiding force of our behaviors. Habitual thoughts may cause us to repeat unhappy patterns. These weekly Affirmations and Tips are designed to help you replace these habitual thoughts to enhance your life and your relationships.  

 

 

Gentle 

I slow down and treat my life and
my relationships with importance and gentleness.

 

I practice gentleness because I wish to be helpful and avoid being harmful. I honor my desire for loving relationships by trusting there is space and time for tenderness, as well as other goals. I avoid allowing a fast-paced life or a feeling of crisis to cause me to lose track of what is truly important. My loved ones' feelings are as significant as my tasks and responsibilities. I value my relationships by bringing gentleness to each interaction.

My gentleness also includes myself. I gently observe myself, recognizing any stressors as I encounter them and taking the time to reassure and soothe myself. I recognize that part of the experience of being on this earth is to sometimes feel barraged by demands. I take care to have realistic expectations of myself and give myself permission to move at a pace that allows me to enjoy the process of life and truly engage in my relationships. As a result, I am naturally gentler in all my interactions.

 

 

  

Tip:  Cultivate gentleness by scheduling breaks throughout your day to notice your surroundings, observe nature, stretch, and authentically check in with significant others.
