Begin to make the shifts that lead to the close, connected relationships you long to experience. Work with the theme and affirmation below. Take time to experience the word and take in the affirmation. Living from these concepts is not always easy. The words and affirmations are designed to help you become more aware and intentional in your relationships.

Peacefulness

I cultivate peacefulness within myself.

I slow down, taking time to cultivate a sense of peace and calm within myself. I aspire to carry this peacefulness throughout the day and radiate peace in all my experiences. My interactions are guided by my peacefulness and my relationships become relaxed and natural. At times, I may feel invited to conflict or triggered by the words or actions of others. However, I pause and remain in a state of peacefulness. From a place of inner calm, I am able to clearly perceive what is happening in the moment. I respond with intuition and wisdom. Free from quick judgments, I am able to be open, kind, calm, patient, present, and inspired in the way I relate to others and my own experiences.

Tip:  Consider when you feel most at peace, and consciously choose to have that experience every day. Find ways to permeate yourself with the feeling of peace. Practicing peace and fully experiencing it will allow you to develop the capacity to access that peace during times of stress. If you feel peaceful in nature, try to take time each day to be in nature, whether in your own back yard or on a walk in the park. While in nature, focus on the feeling of peace and fully experience it.

You might explore music, and observe what kind of music brings you to a state of peacefulness and calm. Take time to play that type of music at least once during the day. Consider trying guided meditations on YouTube or beginning a practice of mindfulness meditation with the goal of cultivating greater peacefulness within yourself. Prioritize taking breaks every day to quiet and clear your mind, release tension, and breathe deeply. Know that by cultivating peace, you are not only helping all of your relationships, but you are increasing your own experience of wellbeing and health.
